Walks/guided tours are arranged for every Sunday on Melville Koppies Central. These alternate between morning and afternoons. Cost R30 per adult and R10 per child. No booking required. Please check the calendar for details of starting times and dates.

A walk with socialised dogs with leads on the first Saturday of every month on Melville Koppies WEST. These start at 8am sharp from 3rd Ave, off Arundel Rd in Westdene. Cost R20pp for the 90 minute walk. No booking required.

Special bird walks led by bird experts are organised for the second Saturday morning of every month. The walks include observing birds being ringed by members of the Witwatersrand Bird Club. Please book for these 011 482 4797. Cost R50 per adult and R25 per child.

Specialist tours are arranged for the third Saturday morning of every month. Cost is R50 for adults and R25 for children. Please book early as these are very popular. Booking at 011 482 4797.

• Guided tours: Guides will introduce visitors to the flora, fauna, geology, archaeology and history of Melville Koppies. Duration: two to three hours
• Tours: Visitors will be taken on a two to three hour walk at a leisurely pace on the meandering trails of MK Central. Exercise in beautiful surroundings.
• Walk with dogs. A two hour walk on MK West with dogs with leads. Not for puppies or young children.
• The paths are rocky and in places are quite steep.
